The following notes are designed to help your day unfold smoothly.

Weather & Comfort

Songbird Retreat is an outdoor, rural venue and can be hot and sunny, particularly in summer. Guests are encouraged to come prepared with sunglasses, sunhats or parasols, sunscreen, and, if helpful, hand-held fans to stay comfortable throughout the day.

Accessibility

If any of your guests have mobility needs or require wheelchair access, please notify us in advance. With prior notice, we can

  • arrange vehicle access directly to the ceremony lawn, avoiding stairs and steeper paths, and ensure the most comfortable arrival possible

  • arrange wheelchair-friendly access to bathrooms

HOW TO GET HERE

Your guests will likely arrive by bus or minivan. In the event you drive, please help them to find us here through Google Maps.

ARRIVAL AND PARKING

A reminder that on-site parking at Songbird Retreat is limited.

  • 15-20 cars may be accommodated on site, subject to weather and ground conditions. We recommend that priority be given to vendors, those with children, the aged, or those with disabilities.

  • We strongly encourage guests to arrive via shared transport wherever possible

  • Parking on Frost Road is not permitted at any time

Buses & Minivans

Buses and minivans are the preferred transport method to minimise noise and disruption.

  • All buses and minivans must drive directly into the venue where there is a large turning circle for drop-off and pick-up

  • After drop-off, buses and minivans may park at the bus stop at the corner of Frost Road and Leigh Road

  • No roadside stopping or waiting outside the property

  • At 10.45, we ask that buses, minivans and cars arrive to pick up guests from the bottom of the stairs in order to leave the venue by 11pm.
